Managing Director

After more than 10 years of research in stem cells, neurobiology, and genetics, Matt shifted his focus to the interface between scientific research and the business of science. He has provided due diligence research to private venture groups, biotech startups, and academic ventures offices, and his experience in corporate development, strategic operations, and product positioning roles give him excellent perspective into the life sciences marketplace. At Headwaters, Matt is responsible for the strategy, finances, and general operations to meet both short and long-term company objectives.

Shauna Callan is the co-founder and director of scientific content at Headwaters. Shauna ensures that all work that is produced at the company is accurate and on point with the needs of each client. With a PhD in molecular and cellular biology, Shauna draws on her experience in oncology research and bioengineering to translate complex concepts into engaging and accurate material. As a partner to the regulatory intelligence, policy, medical affairs, and marketing teams of leading pharmaceutical companies, Shauna prides herself on a long track record of client satisfaction and customer success.
